We want to congratulate 6 of our health science students for being accepted into the Nursing Pipeline Program with the Area Health Education Center (AHEC) of Southeast Kentucky program.
Over 200 students from across 16 counties applied and only 50 were accepted. In this program, students are placed with a nursing mentor in their area, and provided opportunities for job shadowing, scholarship opportunities, ACT prep, soft skill development, and the opportunity to be introduced to multiple nursing career opportunities.
