About Dr. Miller
Dr. Miller is in her eighth year of teaching and brings valuable industry experience from her time as a staff accountant at a small firm in Winchester. She is dedicated to providing students with opportunities to engage in real-world work, integrating practical applications into her lessons whenever possible.
Dr. Miller earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business from Morehead State University in 2016, her Master of Business Administration in 2020, and her Education Specialist and Doctorate in P-12 Administrative Leadership in 2024. Her favorite course to teach is Personal Finance, where students learn essential skills like calculating taxes, though she particularly enjoys creative assignments such as using a Battleship board to teach Excel.
Outside the classroom, Dr. Miller volunteers with nonprofit organizations across the state, using her graphic design skills to create newsletters, social media posts, and fliers. She also serves as youth leader at her church and sits on several boards, including Women of the Church of God Kentucky and the Camargo Camp Meeting Board. She resides in Powell County with her husband, DJ, and their two young sons, Oakley and Oliver.
