About Mr. Miller
Mr. Miller is the new welding instructor at the Lee County Area Technology Center (ATC), where he enjoys being part of the school community and sharing his passion for the trade with students. He is a graduate of Wolfe County High School, class of 2018, where he completed welding, electrical, and carpentry programs at the ATC and competed in SkillsUSA for welding.
After high school, Mr. Miller attended MCTCS, earning certifications in 6G, Combo, and Pipe/Tubing welding. Prior to returning to the classroom, he worked as a welder traveling throughout the state, gaining valuable hands-on industry experience. His most recent employment was with Duke Energy.
Outside of work, Mr. Miller enjoys welding, hunting, and fishing. His favorite part of teaching is the hands-on approach that technical education provides and the opportunity to equip students with valuable, real-world skills. Mr. Miller is excited to build a stable career while giving back to his community and staying close to home.
