The Lee County Board of Education welcomed new staff for the 2025-2026 school year during the August 12 regular meeting.
LCES Principal Carol Napier introduced Ms. Lois Dunahoo and Ms. Rebecca Baker as new teachers and Mr. Dylan Williams and Ms. Karla Charles (unpictured) as instructional assistants in kindergarten. In addition, she included staff who changed roles for the new year, including Ms. Lindsey Wolf, who will now be an Instructional Assistant II for PE, Ms. Kayla Turner, formerly an instructional assistant who will now be a teacher, and Ms. Bia Townsend (unpictured), formerly a computer lab instructor who will now be a teacher.
LCMHS Principal Noah Noble introduced Ms. Sydney Watson, formerly a substitute and now a full time teacher, Ms. Andrea Hundley, Ms. Lindsey Combs, and Ms. Hadrian Hudson, all teachers, as well as Ms. Crystal Samples (unpictured) who will be an instructional assistant in the FMD classroom. Ms. Donna Pelfrey (unpictured) returned to the district from retirement as a teacher.
Transportation Director Danny Wright announced the hiring of Mr. Tim Jewell and Mr. Andy Lucas as bus drivers, and Ms. Tabitha Gentry as a substitute bus driver.
The food service program hired Ms. Jalia Oaks as a substitute cook.
The district is fortunate to have such enthusiastic new staff who have chosen to become Bobcats and to make Lee County School District their home. We look forward to seeing the impact these individuals will make on our students and to watching them grow as educators.
