EXTENDED SCHOOL SERVICES

All Lee County Schools offer Extended School Services (ESS) to any students with the following objectives:

  • To prevent students from not completing their education with their peers.

  • To provide extended programming for students who are at risk of being retained in a class or grade.

  • To close the achievement gap of low-performing students.

An after-school tutorial program and a summer school program are being offered for FY 2020-21 school year for grades K-12. Any student who is at risk of failing a subject/grade, who needs credit to be promoted/graduate, or who is working below age or grade level may be referred. ESS is a voluntary program and guardians may choose for their child not to participate. Guardians may also referred their child for ESS.

Please contact your school for more information or to refer your child.
