Our very own Mrs. Brewer has been published! Her article "Student Retention in Quantitative STEM Majors: Science Teachers and College Students’ Perceptions of Push and Pull Factors" was selected to be a part of BioOne’s Earth Day collection. The article is focused on research of why college students who enroll in college with Q-STEM Majors (physics, chemistry, and math) tend to switch their majors later in their college careers and solutions to keep students in these majors.

We are looking for ways to decrease chronic absenteeism rates, increase high-school graduate rates, boost college and career readiness, enhance social and emotion well-being of our students, as well as family engagement within our school. Next week is National Gear Up week! We encourage students to dress up as the themes for each day and participate in the activities we have planned each day. #WEAREGU National Vision Every student prepared for postsecondary success. Mission “The mission of GEAR UP Kentucky is to increase the number of students in low-income Kentucky communities who are ready to successfully transition to and through postsecondary education. We do this by providing services and support to prepare the whole student, and equipping their families, institutions, and communities to promote and sustain student success.”

Archery sign ups are going on now. If your student is interested, the sign up sheet is located outside the HS Office.
