Our very own Mrs. Brewer has been published! Her article "Student Retention in Quantitative STEM Majors: Science Teachers and College Students’ Perceptions of Push and Pull Factors" was selected to be a part of BioOne’s Earth Day collection. The article is focused on research of why college students who enroll in college with Q-STEM Majors (physics, chemistry, and math) tend to switch their majors later in their college careers and solutions to keep students in these majors.

Parents, please take a moment to complete this 10-minute survey that will give you a chance to voice your needs concerning your child's education. Partners for Rural Impact (PRI) is working in LCMHS through the full-service community school's grant. We are looking for ways to decrease chronic absenteeism rates, increase high-school graduate rates, boost college and career readiness, enhance social and emotion well-being of our students, as well as family engagement within our school. We want to hear from you on this needs assessment survey. We will use the results form this survey to help guide our work. Thank you.

National Vision
Every student prepared for postsecondary success.
Mission
“The mission of GEAR UP Kentucky is to increase the number of students in low-income Kentucky communities who are ready to successfully transition to and through postsecondary education. We do this by providing services and support to prepare the whole student, and equipping their families, institutions, and communities to promote and sustain student success.”
