First Mentor meeting for the Advanced Medical students

The Americans Helping Americans grant has helped support the first in a series of mentor meetings with students who are focusing on Advanced Medical Careers. The first speaker was Amy Wernette, a Biology Professor with Hazard Community and Technical College.  Ms. Wernette stressed the importance of having a career focus and taking rigorous classes.  Many of the students in the mentoring group are taking BIO 137 as a dual credit class with HCTC.
